I have Goodyear's on my truck but dont know what I will purchase when it's time to replace them.
I always run Dunlop on my bikes, but I recently won a free Pirelli tire so I'll be running that for a little bit...who knows, if its good maybe I'll be a Pirelli man from now on!

I have ran these on the bike:
Dunlop
Metzler
Michelin
Avon
Liked the Dunlop best
Ran these on my trucks:
BFG - Mudders
BFG A/T
BFG Sport Truck TA
Cooper Discovery
Cooper A/T
Liked the mudders best as they sat higher and dug better in snow but the Coopers were a great tire.
As for a performance tire.. (like what your truck may run)
I ran think I ran something like this on my Z28

My 4X4 has dunlops on it...they had an 80,000 mile warranty..which was a shocker..the truck will wear out before the tires.. ..but for real i worked in a tire store for awhile..and i prefer dunlops..

That was our big snow storm a few months ago... we got about 34 inchs in 3 days. I think I needed to chain his tires up. He wasn't going any where... but like you said, He was sure he was gonna make it to the top of the 5 foot shoveled pile.
